New Zealand is one of GSTR’s most important markets. Over 232,000 Kiwis visit Victoria each year, with a significant percentage touring the GSTR.

The UCI Road World Championships are coming to the home of reigning world champion, Cadel Evans.

Evans lives in the pretty seaside village of Barwon Heads, just one of the myriad attractions that comprise the Great Southern Touring Route region. MORE

The GSTR committee conducted a Strategic Workshop on 23 August to evaluate the relevance of our current and planned Marketing and Administrative strategies to take us forward for the next three to five years.

With the help of John Stevens, our facilitator, and the valuable contribution of some key industry members, a very successful workshop was held.

We are now in the process of evaluating the workshop findings, setting priorities and developing a strategic framework document, which we will share with our members once complete.

GSTR Executive Officer, Gaby Robinson, was recently appointed to the ATEC Victoria/Tasmania committee.

The committee helps to organise ATEC events such as workshops and social networking events in Victoria and Tasmania.

Congratulations Gaby we look forward to you playing an active role in ATEC activities.

We would also like to advise that Tim Grandfield was recently appointed as a Director of GSTR.

Tim will continue to build upon the excellent work Felicity McMeekin under took in the Chinese and Indian markets for GSTR.

Tim is the City of Ballarat’s Destination Marketing Officer and will bring significant industry knowledge and a strong network of contacts to GSTR.
